We welcome you on the website of our hospital and give you some brief information about our service, our hospital and some important things that are necessary for your treatment and stay. In case that you might have further questions, please contact our coordinating office (adress in sidebar).

About us

The EVK Mettmann is providing medical treatment and care for more than 27.000 patients every year. The hospital comprises several medical departments (mentioned on our main page) and employees more than 600 people. It is known for its high quality in medical treatments and medical care, a very familiar atmosphere and innovative progress. However, the particular focus is on the patient, the best possible treatment and his safety.  

Your treatment

We would like to make your experience in our hospital as good and as successful as possible. Therefore we offer some services and help to organize your stay straight from the beginning.

What we need

We need a detailed medical report in English language from you in order to ensure that you receive the best and most effective medical treatment. Please send us this report via e-mail or fax (see address in sidebar).  

Deposit

After having checked your report we will discuss about your treatment at our hospital. You will receive an individual offer that includes the probable costs of treatment and your estimate time of staying in our hospital. We would ask you for an advanced payment including the calculated costs of our individual offer.

Approximately 3 months after the treatment is over you will receive a list of all costs and the information about a possible repayment or an additional payment amount.

Additional information for EU-Patients

We also accept the E112 / S2 formula from your health insurance company.  

Your stay

In our hospital we have different categories of single and double bed rooms. Enclosed you will find the description and the prices.

If in case of an optional service conclusion for a single room accommodation in a single room is temporarily not possible, the patient will be accommodated in a double room. The below-mentioned service descriptions and prices are relevant for accommodation and calculation.

Category II

We'll help you

Our employees – nurse, doctors and administrative staff – do their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They also help your family members or escort to find a hotel or guest house nearby. Just let us know if an extra accommodation is needed.

Transportation

Düsseldorf International Airport is only 20km away from Mettmann. The easiest way to reach our hospital is taking a taxi. It takes about 25 minutes to arrive in Mettmann.  You could also go by public transport via Düsseldorf main railway station.

If you prefer traveling by train, you should go via Düsseldorf main railway station and then take the interurban train “S8” to Mettmann city center.  From the city center it’s only a 5 min. walk to our hospital.

The international airport Cologne / Bonn is also an opportunity to use. It is about 50km away from Mettmann.  You will have to go by train to Düsseldorf main railway station and from there on by taxi or by the interurban train “S8” to Mettmann.

If medical help is required we also have the opportunity to organize a patient transport ambulance. Therefore we need the information what kind of medical problem consists.
